Easy Way to Reading Articles Online By Rosemary Bell Do you get frustrated when you are trying to read articles online and there are distracting animated advertisements beside the article? Here is a quick tip that I've discovered. Depending on the site, some offer a 'Printer Friendly Version'. Just click on it and it will open in a new window. Now you can read the article without those annoying advertisements. Added benefits: - the font is often larger, making it easier to read - ready to print if you want a copy - usually still able to email it from this page on some sites Quite often the 'printer friendly pages' open in a totally separate window, leaving the original page untouched, so when you're done just close the window. If it didn't open in a separate window and you want to get back to the original page just hit back on your browser or you can use the following keyboard shortcut: - press the 'Alt' and the left arrow keys together to go back as many pages as you want - press the 'Alt' and the right arrow keys together if you want to move forward again There's also the other option of using your mouse if you have one with the side buttons on it. Thanks for this tip. I've often clicked away from a page because of annoying blinking ads.

Glad it helped. I just hate it when there isn't a printer friendly version. I often will hold up a piece of paper to cover the screen and read that portion of the site real quick. Oops, there is another one down below!
